Hi livejournal. It's been a while. I wanted to talk about apartments. As some might know, I'm looking for a place to call my own. The lack of qualifying properties in the Glenside area has got me looking in the city. Any ideas for areas, realtors, etc? My only leads so far are two properties on Baltz in Brewerytown on a block that looks like a slum set for a movie. But it's up and coming, right? Any decent areas in Fishtown worth checking out? So I'm thinking of maybe building an inexpensive PC. Are there cases out there that are 1) attractive 2) not enormous and 3)relatively cheap? I'm astounded at how ugly most cases out there are. So I've been trying my best to catch up on all this new crap lately, hoping that it will somehow make my life easier and/or more productive. So I got my RSS feeds set up for EETimes, The Register, Digg, AudioDesignLine and some others. I've also started downloading podcasts, although much to colleen's dismay the only one I am listening to is This Week in Tech.
So now I've also got a Skype account setup, so if anyone else has one respond to this post and give me your name. Or find me...I'm ouzelum.

So I just read an article in The Register about my domain host, Directnic, and how they're holding up in the 10th story of a building in downtown New Orleans, guarding the place against looters and shipping in fuel to keep everything running. crazy crazy shit. The guy camping out there has a pretty fascinating livejournal documenting everything as well. It's really disheartening to see that people are acting the way they are down there. I'll leave it at that, as I have no desire to start an argument on the situation. |
